First Meeting
A Horse Thief, A Blacksmith and a Mystery Man
The first Rose Township meeting took place on April 3, 1837 in David Gage’s Tavern. The main task was electing the members of the first township government. Who got elected to the positions? Did some people get more than one job? Was it true that one of the people elected later became a horse thief? Watch to find out!
